Press Release 26 MARCH 2021:Speed Cameras in Triq il-Kosta
The Local Enforcement System Agency (LESA) is planning to install four speed cameras in Triq il-Kosta in the coming days. Transport Malta has approved these installations. It is planned that these speed cameras will be installed on both sides of the road.
Signs which indicate where drivers may encounter these speed cameras have already been installed.
This road has seen many terrible accidents as well as deaths. There were also recommendations which emerged from a Magisterial Inquiry. Because of this, a study to identify the locations where these accidents happened the most was carried out. The speed cameras shall be installed in these black spots.
Currently, these plans are in an advanced stage. LESA and TM are working together to ensure that accidents on Maltese roads are reduced.
