Preparations for summer by Transport Malta

For weeks before summer, Transport Malta was preparing several slipways, we have around the Maltese Islands, with signs and paint to help avoid obstructions.

Several drivers and even boat owners block slipways, either selfishly or else because they are unaware that when they park or moor their boats in slipways, they will obstruct others.

A number park close to slipways to visit some beach and obstruct the access for boats. Some boats are of a substantial size and thus need more space to manoeuvre. The operation to launch a boat may be delicate and might need further space to succeed without danger.
