EIT Urban Mobility: EXCEL - Winter School

On Friday 16th February the final event of the Excel Winter School 2024 was held successfully at the Gozo Innovation Hub. During this event, the students had the opportunity to present their projects to a panel of judges, with the overall winning team being the Sustainable Innovators. Students had the opportunity to work on key challenges provided by the Gozo Regional Development Agency (GRDA), including the use of sustainable renewable energy sources in mobility, a modal shift towards sustainable travel, and improvements in maritime connectivity. Such challenges directly address pressing issues faced locally, contributing to the region’s sustainable development.

The main stakeholders participating in this year’s week-long initiative were Transport Malta, MCAST, Cleantech Bulgaria PAF, and the Gozo Regional Development Authority.
