Coronavirus: Valletta Ferry and Barrakka Lift resume regular schedule
16 JUNE 2020:Transport Malta has come to an agreement with the Ferry and Barrakka Lift Operators for them to once again start offering a complete service, following the disruptions brought about by the COVID19 pandemic.
In fact, from today, Tuesday 16th June, the Ferry that operates between Valletta and Cottonera resumed its regular operations, according to schedule.
During the past months, the ferry was operating every hour instead of every half hour and with reduced times.
The Barrakka lift resumed its operations as well, as public gardens, including the Upper Barrakka Gardens, opened their door to the public once more. The public can once again avail themselves of the lift services.
