Other Incenive Schemes

In 2025, Transport Malta will be administering the following financial incentives aimed at improving the sustainability and accessibility of road transport, in addtion to the Scheme for New Electric Vehicles and Pedelecs.

The incentives are listed below. More information shall be made available once the schemes are formally published.

• New eKickscooters
• Used Electric Vehicles
• Use of LPG as Fuel for Vehicles
• New Wheelchair Accessible Taxis and Light Passenger Transport Vehicles (Y-plates)
• Retrofitting of Photovoltaic Panels on Heavy Duty Vehicles
• Retrofitting of Battery Electric Powertrains on Motor Vehicles
• Purchase of Bicycles
• Conversion of Bicycles to Pedelecs
