Horse Drawn Cabs (Karozzini)
The traditional karrozzin is one of the oldest forms of public transport in Malta, dating back to the mid-nineteenth century. It consists of a carriage pulled by a horse and is nowadays a popular tourist attraction.
Horse drawn cabs, or karrozzini, operate along a number of routes in the following localities:
- Outside Valletta;
- Tas-Sliema/St. Julians;
- Rabat/Mdina;
- Buġibba/Qawra.
Customers can make use of this service by hiring a horse cab from one of the various cab stands situated along these routes. This service is ideal for customers willing to visit these locations in a quiet and leisurely manner, whilst enjoying the beautiful views that these routes can offer.
