Light Passenger Transport (up to 8 passenger seats plus driver)

Introduction

The Light Passenger Transport sector, comprising of undertakings offering the carriage of passengers for hire or reward using vehicles having up to 8 passenger seats besides that of the driver, is regulated through the Light Passenger Transport Services and Vehicle Hire Services Regulations - S.L.499.68.

Application forms related to this service are:

LPTS 001 - Application form for Light Passenger Transport Services Operator Licence;
LPTS 002 - Application form to transfer a Light Passenger Transport Services Operator Licence;
LPTS 003 - Application form to transfer by inheritance a Light Passenger Transport Services Operator Licence;
LPTS 004 - Application form to withdraw a Light Passenger Transport Services Operator Licence.

2023 Amendment of Regulations

An amendment to the Light Passenger Transport Services and Vehicle Hire Services Regulations was published through Legal Notice 111 of 2023.
